Welsh in origin, Gwendolen is a timeless name with a captivating meaning, "white ring". Its Welsh roots give it a connection to ancient Celtic folklore, where it was believed to refer to the moon goddess. The name is composed of two elements: "gwen", meaning "fair", "white", or "blessed", and "dolen", meaning "ring", "link of a chain", or "loop".
