Soizic, a variant of Soazig, holds a rich historical tapestry. Its roots lie in the Medieval Latin term "Francus/Franciscus," signifying "Franco" or belonging to the Frankish people. In turn, this name stems from the Germanic "frankô/franka," denoting "javelin or spear." The ultimate origin lies in the Proto-Germanic "*sahsą," meaning "knife or dagger."

The Franks, who held exclusive privileges of free citizenship during the Middle Ages, gave rise to the term "frank," which symbolized "free man, sincere, or true."
